    Treatments at Root & Moss are intentionally unhurried. Each facial is designed to support both your skin and your nervous system - tailored to how you arrive on the day.

    Your consultation is an important part of the experience. It allows me to understand your skin, lifestyle, stress levels and any areas of tension, so the treatment can be shaped around what your body and skin truly need.

    This is your time to slow down and be cared for.

    Step One

    Your Consultation

    All first-time clients receive a complimentary in-depth consultation before their treatment - a relaxed conversation, not a clinical assessment.

    Together we will gently explore:

    • Skin concerns and history
    • Lifestyle, sleep and stress patterns
    • Areas of tension you may be holding
    • Treatment goals and how you'd like to feel after

    For first-time visits, an additional 30 minutes is added to your treatment booking so I can begin with this consultation unhurried - there is no need to arrive early.

    For returning clients, each appointment opens with a gentle 5-10 minute wellness check - a moment to talk through any changes in your skin, body or wellbeing since I last saw you, so the treatment can be adapted to where you are now.

    Step Two

    Arriving for Your Appointment

    A few gentle suggestions to help you settle in fully from the moment you arrive.

    • Arrive makeup-free where possible
    • Wear comfortable clothing so you can fully relax
    • Allow yourself time to arrive calmly - there is no need to rush

    Step Three

    During Your Treatment

    Each treatment is both skin-focused and deeply relaxing - unfolding at a pace that allows you to fully arrive.

    • Gentle cleansing and warm towels
    • Tailored facial massage
    • Gua Sha, lymphatic drainage or myofascial techniques where appropriate
    • A nourishing mask suited to your skin
    • A relaxing scalp or hand massage
    • A slower, restorative pace throughout

    Step Four

    After Your Facial

    To get the most from your treatment in the days that follow:

    • Stay well hydrated
    • Keep your skincare routine gentle for 24-48 hours
    • Avoid heat-based activities immediately afterwards

    Your skin and nervous system may continue responding to the treatment over the following days - a gentle unwinding that often extends well beyond the session itself.
